Umphakatsi Peace Ecovillage, founded by Sarah Tobhi Motha along with friends and family in 2006 as a community based initiative of the local people of Vlakplass, Steynsdorp in the Province of magestic Mpumalanga, bordering both Swaziland and Mozambique, is honoured to invite you to participate on our first for women by women Ecovillage Design Education Training for Sustainability course which will take place from April 28, until May 25th 2013.

Some leading members of the African Ecovillage Movement are meeting in Sekem, Egypt from 16th - 19th of December 2012 to discuss the emergence of GEN-Africa and strategize for 2013.
The symposium is under the auspices of the Global Ecovillage Network of Europe with support from the German Foreign Ministry. About 57 participants are expected to participate in the program.

Welcome to our Open Day (26 May), combined with the Space of Love (26-27 May) at the Rainbow Homestead & Sustainability Commons. We'll have lots of fun, build community spirit, be inspired, make new friends, and learn some eco-skills. Bring your tent if you want to spend the night. Bring a lunch to share and a veggie for the potjie, some clothes to swap, some seeds to trade, your music instruments, and any other toys. No alcohol or drugs--we guarantee a natural high!

Overall Objective
Train youth workers to be active citizens in order to make youth projects targeting youth participation practices within the EuroMed region.
